Have you gotten in a rut? Do you feel like you get up to go to work, come home, eat, sleep to get up and do the same thing all over again? Routine can help make life’s demands easier however it often can bring boredom and depression if we don’t sprinkle in a little adventure and exploration.
You don’t have to have a huge budget or a big travel allowance. Here are some ideas regardless of your pocketbook and for various times of the year:
Low Budget Ideas: Hiking, kayaking, bicycling, ice skating, roller skating, visit a craft store and pick a new hobby, make a new recipe, explore a new neighborhood, visit a library and read a new book, or start a journal.
Winter Season: Ice skating, sledding, snow skiing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, make a terrarium, plant seeds and watch them grow in a window sill.
Requires some cash: go on a road trip, try a new restaurant, find a paint your own pottery place, take a pottery wheel class or take a class online or at a local college to learn something new, take a cooking class, zip line, learn how to sail, get certified in rock climbing, or find an instructor and go white water rafting.
Learn a new skill online: sign-making, wood-carving, wood-engraving/wood-burning, painting with oils and pastels.
You will find joy in the new experience and grow from having courage!
Share your ideas so others can benefit.
